Apply for a grant
New Hampshire's nonprofit organizations help make New Hampshire a great place to live.
Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of New Hampshire people, the Foundation awards thousands of grants every year to organizations doing critical work in our communities, and improving quality of life for all. Together, we are doing great things.
What we fund
Through our competitive grant programs, we fund programs and operations of qualified nonprofit organizations that advance health and well-being, environmental protection, education, housing and other basic needs, arts and culture, civic health and economic security.
We also make grants to nonprofit partners working in specific areas of strategic Foundation priorities — like improving mental health and preventing addiction and making sure that New Hampshire’s young people get the education they need to thrive.
And we work closely with generous donors to connect them with funding opportunities that match their areas of interest in fulfilling community needs. Please create an organizational profile on GrantSource to help us connect your work with donor interest.

Important: system upgrade coming in May
We’re excited to share that the Foundation will be upgrading our core software systems in May. These improvements will help us better serve you and our New Hampshire community.
Our team has been planning this transition for more than a year to ensure a smooth rollout with minimal disruption. That said, grant processing and award payments will be delayed this spring — mid-May to mid-June — as we move to the new system. Applications submitted in May and early June will be processed by mid-June.
Grant applicants should not experience any disruptions in GrantSource, the Foundation’s online application portal.
Thank you for your patience as we make these upgrades — and for your continued partnership in building thriving communities.
