Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation – Targeted Grants Program

The Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation (“GRCHF”) is a supporting organization of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. It was established with the proceeds from the sale of the nonprofit Frisbie Memorial Hospital to HCA Healthcare, Inc. Its mission is to improve health and well-being and reduce the burden of illness of people in Strafford County and surrounding communities. Learn more about GRCHF and its vision and values.

This grantmaking program awards up to $25,000 to nonprofit organizations focusing on increasing access to dental, maternal and mental/behavioral health care, serving Strafford County residents. If your organization provides services other than dental, maternal or mental/behavioral health care, please apply to the small grants program.

  • Geographic focus

    Funding is limited to organizations providing services in Strafford County, New Hampshire. If your organization is headquartered outside of Strafford County but considers Strafford County to be a primary service location, you are eligible to apply.

  • Eligibility

    Organizations must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Organizations that do not have public charity status may apply for grants if another public charity acts as a fiscal sponsor.

    The following organization types should not apply:

    • Public and private schools
    • Hospitals
    • Colleges and universities
    • Religious organizations
    • Municipalities and government entities

  • Grant amount

    Up to $25,000 for project support. These are nonrenewable, one-year grants.

  • Application deadline

    October 18, 2023, 5:00 pm Eastern time

    GrantSource application portal will open Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

Log in to GrantSource, update your profile and access open applications. If you have never applied, please create a new profile using the “Register here” button.

Step 3

Complete and submit the online application.

Prepare answers for the application questions. Answer the questions in GrantSource.

Step 4

Receive funding.

Applicants will be notified of final decisions via email in December 2023.
