It is an important moment for the Foundation, having recently reaffirmed its long-term commitment to its “Together We Thrive” strategic framework, which seeks “to help make New Hampshire a community where everyone can thrive,” and focuses on equity, making New Hampshire a more just, sustainable and vibrant community for all, and economic security for all the state’s residents.

The Foundation seeks an accomplished and enthusiastic leader who is ready to powerfully advance the “Together We Thrive” framework in new and innovative ways. This leader will possess an extensive and forward-looking understanding of the mission of the Foundation, with demonstrated experience advancing strategy through creativity and persistence balanced with an appropriate assessment of attendant risks to evolve the Foundation’s impact within New Hampshire and among its national peers. In advancing NHCF’s mission, the President and CEO must build meaningful relationships to catalyze action among diverse stakeholders in the Foundation’s multifaceted ecosystem (donors, community partners, civic and business leaders, local and state governments and agencies, other foundations, etc.) and demonstrate an ability to work within complex ecosystems and stakeholder relationships in pursuit of mutual goals. The President and CEO is also responsible for understanding the ever-changing economic and political environment and for managing the attendant risks without compromising the Foundation’s values and objectives as a trusted, long-established, non-partisan partner. This individual will bring a collaborative leadership style, support a thoughtful, diligent and inclusive approach to decision making, engage skillfully across cultural divides and boundaries, and embrace and continue to foster the Foundation’s culture.
