How to help people and communities in Maine

A mass shooting in Maine has left 18 dead and 13 wounded. The Maine Community Foundation has created the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund to address current and emerging needs associated with this tragedy. One hundred percent of donations go to affected people and communities.

The violence that was visited upon the region of Lewiston-Auburn, Maine is reverberating throughout New England and the country.

The Maine Community Foundation is working, with guidance from its Androscoggin County Committee and other community partners, to support recovery efforts in the wake of the mass shooting that killed 18 and wounded 13.

MaineCF has created the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund to address current and emerging needs associated with this tragedy. With MaineCF as a conduit, 100% of every dollar donated will be allocated to people affected and the organizations that will help guide Lewiston-Auburn through the process of healing.
