Spotlight Community Impact Awards now open for submissions

Celebrating creative students and their adult mentors who foster growth, leadership, and a sense of belonging in New Hampshire’s public schools

Media Power Youth has launched the Spotlight Community Impact Awards — a creative media challenge for public high school students across New Hampshire to showcase the adult mentors making a positive difference in their communities. This program is supported in part by the Foundation.

New Hampshire public school students in grades 9 through 12 are invited to nominate an inspiring advisor, educator, coach, or community leader, and submit a digital media piece about how they have helped shape their educational journey. Submissions can take the form of a short film or photo story and are due by May 9, 2025.

Entries will be showcased at the Spotlight Community Impact Awards celebration event on May 30, 2025. One winning digital media project will be announced, chosen by a panel of educators, industry professionals, and youth judges. A grand prize of $1,000 each will be awarded to both the student media creator and their nominated mentor.

Students with all levels of experience in media creation are encouraged to participate.
