NH Gives raises $3.2 million for nearly 650 NH nonprofits

Close to 13,500 people donated to local nonprofits during the state’s largest single day of giving

CONCORD – More than $3.28 million was raised for a record-breaking 649 participating New Hampshire nonprofits through NH Gives, an online giving event created by the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits. Nearly 13,500 generous people contributed to the effort between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12.

NH Gives is an annual event that has raised more than $18 million for nearly 1,200 New Hampshire nonprofits since it was created in 2016.

“NH Gives continues to be an important platform for New Hampshire nonprofits to showcase their missions and raise critical funds to support them,” said Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits. “A record number of nonprofits participated in this year’s event, and we’re grateful for the outpouring of support they experienced. Thank you to everyone who gave and participated in NH Gives this year.”

There is still time to boost the 2024 totals and continue the momentum for New Hampshire nonprofits and communities: Although the 24-hour prize period has ended, NHGives.org will remain open for donations until midnight on Friday, June 14. As of Friday morning, the giving total was up to more than $3.4 million, with more than 14,700 donors.

Generous people from around the state contributed more than $1.3 million in matching funds for individual organizations to help spur donations this year. The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, which has been a lead sponsor of NH Gives since 2016, contributed $40,000 in prizes to the organizations that garnered the highest number of unique online donors over the 24 hours.

Way to give, New Hampshire!”

Our Place Housing Solutions for Adults with Developmental Disabilities raised the most in the 24-hour period, with more than $51,852 in donations. The organization, based in Dover, is working to provide housing, services and support for adults with disabilities in the Seacoast area.

The Cornucopia Project in Peterborough attracted the most individual donors, with 360 people contributing to support its mission. The Cornucopia Project provides hands-on nutrition education to children, works in partnership with local elementary schools, runs an educational farm and provides produce to families, food pantries, restaurants and more.

NHGives.org is an easy-to-use platform where people can find causes they care about, donate securely, and become fundraising champions. Participating nonprofits also receive training and marketing support in the months leading up to the event.

Leading with respect, dignity and compassion for people experiencing homelessness

Our greatest challenge continues to be reducing the stigma about people experiencing homelessness. People become homeless for many reasons such as a lack of affordable housing, mental illness, substance abuse disorders, catastrophic illness, natural disasters, unemployment, or working low-wage jobs. They are individuals of all ages, colors, and abilities. They are all human beings, worthy of respect, dignity, and compassion.

Advancing mental health care to strengthen community

A community mental health center is a private not-for-profit with a public mission. We provide a core array of services to the general public — like emergency crisis services — and the treatments and programs that kids or adults need should they have a disabling mental health condition. We do things that no other healthcare provider can do.

Pride builds community, belonging
