A new (free) way for nonprofits to support their staff

New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits in partnership with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation will launch an employee assistance program for small NH nonprofits.

As a nonprofit leader, you carry a lot — strategy, fundraising, community needs, and most importantly, your people. When staff are overwhelmed with work or facing personal challenges, it can feel like you’re carrying it all alone.

But you don’t have to.

We’re excited to introduce a new, free employee assistance program (EAP) designed specifically for small New Hampshire nonprofits — a pilot made possible through a partnership between the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, KGA, and the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits.

Over the past several months, the Center and the Charitable Foundation have worked together to identify new ways to support nonprofits during these challenging times. Based on feedback from nonprofit leaders like you, we’re launching this critical new resource to help nonprofit employees — and the leaders who support them — thrive.

This confidential, 24/7 benefit supports both staff and their adult household members — and includes resources just for you as a manager. Resources include access to a network of experts and self-directed tools for assistance with:

  • Emotional/mental health

  • Childcare and parenting challenges

  • Eldercare

  • Legal and financial issues

  • Sleep, nutrition, and health

  • Career and workplace stress

  • And more

Whether someone is navigating a family crisis, feeling overwhelmed, or just needs help managing stress — support is only a phone call, text, or click away.

This is one meaningful way to show your team that their well-being matters.

To participate in this pilot, organizations must meet all of the following:

  • Located in or serving New Hampshire
  • Have 10 or fewer staff members
  • Do not have access to an EAP through current insurance
