The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is pleased to welcome Tom Burack, James “Jamie” Burnett and Emmett Soldati to its 16-member board of directors.
Burack, of Hopkinton, is an attorney and consultant with Sheehan Phinney, where he has focused for more than 25 years on environmental, energy, real estate and nonprofit governance matters. He has also held posts in all three branches of government — including Commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, law clerk to Justice David Souter on the Supreme Court of NH and legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Gordon Humphrey.
Burnett, of Concord, is president of Sight Line, a public affairs and government relations company based in Concord. He previously served as transition director to New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, legislative director to U.S. Senator John E. Sununu and legislative assistant to U.S. Senator Judd Gregg. Burnett is a Governor-appointed trustee to the University System of New Hampshire, serving five years as vice chair of the board. He is also a director for the Business & Industry Association of NH, Merrimack County Savings Bank and Granite Edvance.
Soldati, a Somersworth-based activist and community leader and the owner of Totally Tea + Coffee (formerly Teatotaller), returns to the board after a planned leave of absence. A graduate of the London School of Economics, he has dedicated the past decade to fostering community engagement and economic opportunity in his hometown. In 2024, Soldati was the Democratic nominee for Executive Council (District 1), and in 2019, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year by Stay Work Play New Hampshire.
