New scholarship fund will help Bethlehem residents pursue career training

The Fresh Tracks Medallion Fund is the newest of 26 Medallion scholarship funds open to learners of any age who are training in the trades or pursuing certifications in emerging technical sectors and other high-growth occupations

CONCORD, NH (PRESS RELEASE) — A new scholarship fund at the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation will help Bethlehem, New Hampshire residents pursue career training programs.

The Fresh Tracks Medallion Fund is the newest of 26 Medallion scholarship funds open to learners of any age who are training in the trades or pursuing certifications in emerging technical sectors and other high-growth occupations in demand by New Hampshire employers. Scholarships help cover costs for certificates, licensing, apprenticeships and two-year college degrees.

Since 1996, the Medallion family of scholarship funds at the Charitable Foundation has helped nearly 1,200 students get education and training to enter high-demand fields in New Hampshire. More than $1.7 million has been awarded in Medallion scholarships since 1996. In 2018, the family of Medallion Funds made awards totaling $254,000 to 136 students across New Hampshire.

“The Medallion Funds are helping so many people transition from just getting by to thriving in high-demand professions,” said Judy Burrows, Director of Student Aid at the Foundation. “We are thrilled to have this special resource for Bethlehem residents so we can help people get a foothold up on the economic ladder by acquiring skills that New Hampshire businesses and communities desperately need.”
