New Hampshire came together in a powerful show of support for the nonprofit sector during NH Gives, raising more than $3.4 million for nearly 650 participating organizations between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11.
Organized by the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits, NH Gives is the state’s largest single day of giving. Since its launch in 2016, the annual online event has raised more than $22 million for nearly 1,200 nonprofits serving communities across the Granite State.
“This is a strong affirmation that nonprofits matter to the people and communities they serve,” said Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits. “NH Gives is not only a celebration of giving, it is also a testament to the essential role nonprofits play in our daily lives.”
Online giving through NHGives.org remains open through Friday, June 13, at 11:59 pm. The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits expects to raise nearly $3.7 million in donations from over 15,000 donors.
This year’s effort was supercharged by $1.6 million in matching funds, pledged by donors to inspire and multiply individual gifts. Longtime partner New Hampshire Charitable Foundation also contributed $30,000 in incentive prizes to reward organizations that mobilized the most online donors.
“New Hampshire continues to show up for the organizations that make all of our lives better,” said Richard Ober, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. “To everyone who gave generously over these last 24 hours, thank you for your investment in the critical work of the nonprofit sector and for helping to build a better New Hampshire for everyone.”
From grassroots organizations to statewide institutions, nonprofits across New Hampshire saw overwhelming support. Top-performing nonprofits included:
- Our Place Housing Solutions (Dover), which raised over $100,000 to support housing and services for adults with developmental disabilities in the Seacoast region.
- Friends of Mascoma (Canaan), which led in total donors, attracting 336 contributors in support of educational advancements and nutritional well-being for students and their families within the Mascoma Valley Regional School District.
- New Hampshire Public Radio, New Hampshire Food Bank, and New Hampshire PBS took the Power of Community Prizes for large organizations with the largest number of unique donors.
- Friends of Mascoma, the Cornucopia Project, and Our Place NH took the Power of Community Prizes for medium-sized organizations with the largest number of unique donors.
- NicaLove, Windham Endowment for Community Advancement, and the New England Fiddle Ensemble took the Power of Community Prizes for small-sized organizations with the largest number of unique donors.
NH Gives offers an opportunity for donors to connect with organizations doing meaningful work throughout New Hampshire—from early childhood programs and elder care to the arts, mental health services, food access, and beyond.
As nonprofits continue to meet rising demand for services amid tightening budgets, the funds raised through NH Gives provide vital, flexible support.
