Exploring solutions: drug court, needle exchange, curbing over-prescription

"Beyond the Stigma" series in the New Hampshire Union Leader takes a "solutions journalism" approach to reporting on addiction and behavioral health

Beyond The Stigma” is a year-long series sponsored by the New Hampshire Solutions Journalism Lab at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications and funded by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, the New Hampshire chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and private individuals.

During June, the series examined New Hampshire’s drug court system and the successes of some recent graduates, needle exchange programs, how New Hampshire hospitals are working to curb over-prescription of opioids and more.
