Laurie retired in 2008 as one of three managing partners at Boston-based Wellington Management, which oversees more than $1 trillion in assets for around 1,500 institutions in more than 40 countries. Laurie joined the company in 1976 upon graduation from Tufts University, where she earned a BA in economics.
In retirement, Laurie has served on several non-profit boards including Tufts University board of trustees and investment committee, Cummings Foundation and NH Public Radio. She is a past chair of the Appalachian Mountain Club and The Nature Conservancy–New Hampshire.
She has served on the Foundation’s Investment Committee for ten years, including the past seven as chair. Laurie actively supports several organizations focused on conservation and women’s financial independence.
