Events of the last year mean that many families and children who were already vulnerable are now, tragically, more so: Spikes in unemployment, growing housing insecurity and food insecurity, challenges with remote learning, racial disparities in COVID risk and increasing gaps in health, education and access to social services conspired to make 2020 a perilous year for many children and families. Now, at the five-year mark of the Foundation’s New Hampshire Tomorrow initiative to increase opportunities for the most vulnerable children and families, the work has never been more urgent.
