The wildfires in California are the deadliest and most destructive in state history. Some 80 people have lost their lives and almost 1,000 are still missing. More than 14,000 homes and other buildings have been destroyed. Many residents are left with little or nothing.
Community Foundations in California are working to help meet people’s immediate needs, and to help in the process of recovery and rebuilding.
Donations to the following funds will help those affected by the devastating fires:
The California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund
The North Valley Community Foundation’s Camp Fire Evacuation Relief Fund
The Ventura Community Foundation’s Hill Fire and Woolsey Fire Sudden and Urgent Needs Efforts
The California Community Foundation has also compiled lists of nonprofits helping in relief and recovery efforts in Southern California and in Northern California.
