Barbara Couch

President, Hypertherm HOPE Foundation and Corporate Outreach



Barbara Couch has been with Hypertherm, Inc. for 33 years. She served as Vice President, Human Resources Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and currently serves as the president and chair of Hypertherm HOPE Foundation. Hypertherm has been recognized nationally and in New Hampshire for its CSR programs. Barbara also serves on Hypertherm’s Board of Directors and chairs its Corporate Responsibility Committee.

Barbara served for nine years on the Board of Trustees with Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health and the Board of Advisors for the Geisel School of Medicine. She is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College and Board of the NH Business Committee for the Arts.

She is on the Steering Committee of NH Coalition for Business and Education, and until 2016 held appointed positions to the NH Governor’s Advanced Manufacturing Education Council and the Governor’s STEM Task Force. She is past chair of NH Public Radio, where she served for nine years.

Barbara also serves on several local community boards and committees.

She lives in Hanover with her husband, Richard.
