Barbara Couch has been with Hypertherm, Inc. for 30 years. She served as Vice President, Human Resources and, in 2009, she became the company’s first Vice President, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and founder and president of the company’s Hypertherm HOPE Foundation. Hypertherm has been recognized nationally and in New Hampshire for its CSR programs. Barbara also serves on Hypertherm’s Board of Directors and chairs its Corporate Responsibility Committee.
She currently serves on the Board of Trustees with Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health; the Board of Overseers for the Geisel School of Medicine; the Board of Overseers for the Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College and Board of the NH Business Committee for the Arts.
She is on the Steering Committee of NH Coalition for Business and Education, and until 2016 held appointed positions to the NH Governor’s Advanced Manufacturing Education Council and the Governor’s STEM Task Force. She is past chair of NH Public Radio, where she served for nine years.
She lives in Hanover with her husband, Richard.
