Matthew Pierson is a managing director at Dunn Rush & Co., a leading boutique investment banking firm based in Boston. Matt focuses on sell side assignments of technology and defense firms valued at between $10 million and $100 million. He is a co-founder and Managing Partner for 10X Venture Partners, an angel investment group based in Merrimack, NH.
Matt has founded and funded numerous start-up and early stage high tech companies. In 1996, he co-founded DTC Communications, building the company to $30 million in revenue before selling it to Cobham plc, in 2004. In 2008, he co-founded JitterGram, one of the first companies to develop a social CRM platform for use by small to medium sized enterprises. JitterGram was acquired by the Meltwater Group in 2011.
Matt has been named Exporter of the Year (1993), New Hampshire High Tech Council Entrepreneur of the Year (2003), and the University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics Entrepreneur of the Year (2012). He sits on the board of numerous nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including Nanocomp Technologies and the Entrepreneurs Foundation of New Hampshire.
Matt received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and participated in the Semester at Sea® program, academically sponsored by the University of Virginia.
Matt lives in Bedford with his wife and two daughters.
