New Hampshire Food Bank

(Never) too many cooks in the kitchen

The New Hampshire Food Bank, a program of New Hampshire Catholic Charities, has a new approach to fighting the root causes of hunger. Recipe for Success combines culinary training for employment in commercial food service, nutrition education, fresh rescue (recovering nutritious fresh food that is near the sell-by-date from supermarkets) and a community garden to help serve people at risk of hunger. The program was launched with the help of a $50,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
