Senior Program Officer

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation seeks to hire a Senior Program Officer for the Greater Seacoast/Strafford County region who will be responsible for advancing the Foundation’s vision through effective grantmaking, understanding community needs, and effectively advancing Foundation initiatives. Success in this position will be accomplished by achieving measurable community impact; building and maintaining trusted partnerships with regional advisors, donors, nonprofit and other community leaders, and Foundation staff; and developing and sharing community knowledge with those partners.

Our new team member will strive to gain, or currently possess, a deep knowledge of the Seacoast community. Knowledge of economic development or child and youth development a plus. This position is based in Portsmouth with regular travel to Concord and throughout the Seacoast region. BA/BS and public sector and/or nonprofit or community program experience required. Community Knowledge and Impact Officer

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation seeks to hire a Community Knowledge and Impact Officer who will create and implement systems to manage the Foundation’s community knowledge; oversee evaluation and measurement of the Foundation’s impact in grantmaking, initiatives, and scholarships; and drive and support an organizational learning agenda. Success in this position will result in greater utilization of the Foundation’s community knowledge and outside data to leverage and advance the Foundation’s vision, drive its community impact goals, and increase Foundation effectiveness.  

This position is based in Concord with occasional travel throughout the state. BA/BS and minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of advanced degree with related experience. Demonstrated areas of experience should include program evaluation, knowledge management, policy, research and data analysis, or related field. Knowledge of economic development or child and youth development a plus. Public sector and/or nonprofit or community program experience a plus. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Communications Associate

The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation seeks to hire a Communications Associate for their Communications Dept.  This position will be responsible for providing input and support for communications functions, content development, management of online tools, event planning and other general tasks.  This position is based in Concord, NH.

The successful candidate will have a four-year degree with at least three years of related work experience, strong computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets and Internet as well as demonstrated experience with social media, content management systems, and photo/image editing products. The Foundation offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
