This weekly radio series highlights New Hampshire’s nonprofits
“Giving Matters” is a weekly series on New Hampshire Public Radio that showcases New Hampshire’s nonprofit organizations and the ways in which they strengthen communities and enrich lives. The spots feature the first-person stories of people whose lives have been touched by nonprofits’ work.
The series, hosted by the Foundation’s Deborah Schachter and produced by Lois Shea and NHPR’s Andrew Parrella, is a joint production of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and NHPR. It airs at 8:35 a.m. on Saturdays during “Weekend Edition.”
“The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation is very proud to have partnered with NHPR for over a dozen years now to share the powerful stories of New Hampshire's non-profit organizations,” said Schachter, senior program officer at the Foundation. “We hope that this series will inspire greater giving and community engagement among listeners, and aid nonprofits in sharing the compelling stories of their tremendous positive impact."
The “Giving Matters” team has produced some 250 spots since the program first aired in 2002.
Organizations are chosen to be featured on “Giving Matters” through an application process. The application deadline for inclusion in the 2014-2015 series of “Giving Matters” is June 18, 2014.
