The Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund Community Practitioners Network
The Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund's Community Practitioners Network (CPN) is a multiyear leadership program designed to accomplish the following objectives:
- Build leadership knowledge and strengthen skill sets among community and economic development professionals
- Cultivate a leadership network with shared goals and plans to achieve them
- Develop a dynamic and effective learning environment focused on best practices
The leadership cohort will consist of a diverse group of 12 emerging and seasoned leaders from Coos County, New Hampshire and surrounding communities in the U.S. and Canada. Participants will engage in a mix of face-to-face and virtual meetings throughout the program. The first year is devoted to building participants' leadership skills and capacity and the second year is focused on strengthening the regional network and implementation of participant-led community project(s).
CPN is offered to participants at no cost. All accommodations for program sessions are paid in full. Individuals are expected to cover travel costs and personal incidentals, however, limited participant stipends are available. Please contact Jean Clarke at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This two-year program will begin in January 2013 and conclude in May 2014. The cohort will take the summer off between sessions. Once selected, program fellows will meet roughly every other month for single or multi-day sessions. In addition, there may be occasional conference and coaching calls as well as assigned reading and webinars to enhance learning. Year one dates include: January 23 and 24, 2013; March 7, 2013; April 11, 2013; and May 22 and 23, 2013.
