Getting started
In 2012, we launched an online grants portal for applications. This system will make it easier for you to apply, keep your contact information current and track previous applications.
Step 1: Logging in
Organizations will need a username and password to access the online grants portal. Only one account will be permitted per organization. Please use the email address of your executive director/primary organization contact to set up the account.
If you are a consultant applying on behalf of an organization, please contact the organization you represent as you will need to login with that organization's account information.
If you are unsure if your organization has been assigned an account, please contact Loretta Gomes at 800-464-6641 ext. 1283.

Step 2: Complete an Organization Profile
The profile is where you fill out basic information about your organization. (This replaces our former application cover sheet and is also a resource for Foundation staff to share organization information with donors.)
If your organization created an account during the 2012 application cycle, please check it for correctness and completeness.
Applying
Before you apply, keep in mind that organizations can only receive one grant (small or large) per year from the Community Grants Program.
Small Grant $5,000 or less
Complete your organization profile. Once complete, you will be able to view available applications. To apply, select Small Grant from the drop down menu and you will be directed to the Small Grant application.
Please note: We may share Small Grant applications, or organization profiles, with Foundation donors whose interests align with the proposed work.

Large Grant of more than $5,000 and up to $20,000 (in regions) or $25,000 (statewide organizations)
In an effort to streamline the application process, we have implemented a concept paper as the first step in applying for a Large Grant. A concept paper is a brief application designed to save you time.
Please note: We may share concept papers, or organizational profiles, with Foundation donors whose interests align with the proposed work.
You will be notified via email if your concept paper is accepted or declined. If your concept paper has been accepted you will be notified via email with instructions on how to access the full application.
Please note: Being invited to submit a full application does not guarantee funding. We will invite more applications than we can fund.
